Public performance
Radio, TV, streaming, bars, events and live shows. Collected through ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, SGAE and their sister societies, and for concerts only if someone reports the setlist.
Publishing · Distribution · Royalties
Every time your song plays on Spotify, on the radio, at a live show, in a YouTube video or in another country, it earns a different royalty. We register them, claim them and collect them all. And you see every dollar in your portal.
The problem
Joining a society like ASCAP or BMI is only one piece. A single song earns several royalties at once, each one is collected through a different channel, and none of them shows up on its own. If nobody registers the work, matches the data and files the claim, that money goes unallocated.

Every concert or performance earns songwriter royalties. Someone has to report which songs were played, where and when. Almost nobody does.
Every stream and download in the US earns a mechanical royalty your performing rights society doesn’t pay: The MLC and Harry Fox collect it, and only if the work is registered and matched to its recording.
Digital and satellite radio (SiriusXM, Pandora and webcasts) pays the artist and the master owner for the recording. It’s separate from publishing.
Videos, Shorts, TikTok and user content. Claimed through Content ID and separate publishing registrations.
What your music earns abroad stays with foreign societies if nobody claims it in time.
Film, TV, ads and video games. Licenses that need to be negotiated and collected.
In many countries, radio and TV also pay the performers and producers of the recording.
Calculator
If you only distribute, only have publishing, or are only registered as a writer with BMI or ASCAP, part of your royalties isn’t reaching you. Get a rough range.

Based on your answers, you already cover the main channels. We can still check for unmatched royalties.

Distribution vs. administration
There are free platforms to distribute today. The hard part is everything that comes after, and that takes a dedicated team.
